This morning, at approximately 06h35, a vigilant Marshall Security Greater Westmead Association (GWA) Tactical Officer spotted a male carrying a plastic bag filled with cables while patrolling Trafford Road in the Westmead area.
Our GWA officer acted immediately, stopping the individual and questioning him about the cables. The suspect’s explanations were inconsistent, raising suspicions of theft. Recognizing the potential risk, our GWA officer promptly contacted Pinetown SAPS, who arrived on the scene shortly thereafter.
The suspect was transported to Pinetown SAPS for further investigation and processing.
