This morning, at approximately 05h48, while on routine patrol, Marshall Security Armed Response Officers observed a suspicious male sitting along North Coast Road in the Briardene area. Sensing something amiss, the officers stopped to investigate.
Upon questioning, the suspect was found in possession of copper pipes but was unable to provide a reasonable explanation for their origin. Recognizing the potential for stolen property, the officers apprehended the suspect and contacted Greenwood Park SAPS for further intervention.

Greenwood Park SAPS responded promptly, arriving on the scene to take the suspect into custody. He was transported to the police station and charged with being in possession of suspected stolen items.
Marshall Security urges anyone who may have fallen victim to copper theft to report the incident to their nearest police station as soon as possible.
