This afternoon at approximately 13h59, a member of the public reported suspicious behaviour involving two males walking along Old Mill Way in the Durban North area.
Our Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate.
Upon arriving at the scene, the two males attempted to flee on Kenneth Kaunda, raising suspicion that they might have committed a crime. This was no match for our Armed Response Officers and both suspects were immediately apprehended.
Upon searching the contents of the suspects several meters of copper pipes were discovered.
Upon further investigation it was established that the stolen copper pipes were stolen from a client’s property on Old Mill Way.
This successful operation highlights our ongoing commitment to community safety. We commend the members of the public for their vigilance and knowing who to call for assistance as well as our Officers swift action, ensuring that suspicious activities are promptly addressed to keep our community secure.
