Copper Theft Suspect Apprehended After Extensive Search

This morning, at approximately 11h22, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received multiple reports from crime alert groups regarding a suspect jumping over a gate at a property on Beekhary Road, Avoca.

Marshall Security’s Armed Response Officers and Special Operations Team were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled and copper pipes had been stolen from the premises. A vast search for the suspect was immediately initiated. After an extensive and long search, the suspect was spotted on Matheran Road in Avoca and immediately apprehended with the copper pipes in his possession. The homeowner was contacted and confirmed their intent to press charges.

It was later revealed that this was not the first offense for the suspect. He had been apprehended by Marshall Security just a week ago for a similar copper theft incident.
