This afternoon at approximately 12h35, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted via a WhatsApp Crime Alert group where copper pipes stolen from a Marshall client’s property on Seaton Road in the Park Hill area. An accurate description of the suspect was circulated to all our Armed Response Officers to be on the look out.
Shortly afterward, a vigilant member of the public spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description on North Coast Road. Multiple Marshall Security Armed Response Officers, along with our Special Operations Team, were swiftly dispatched to the scene. The suspect was promptly apprehended.
Although the stolen copper pipes were not found in his possession multiple house breaking tools were discovered.
Greenwood Park SAPS were called to the scene and arrived shortly after, taking the suspect into custody for further legal processing.
