At approximately 13h30 on 17 July, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic signal from a client in Northway, Durban North. One of our Reaction Officers was driving past at the time of the incident when he noticed two members of the public trying to restrain another male outside the client’s premises.
Upon further investigation, the resident’s gardener informed our Reaction Officer that two suspects attempted to steal a ladder from the premises. One suspect managed to flee the scene and members of our Special Operations Team searched the area for the suspect who was apprehended nearby.
The gardener positively identified the suspect and both suspects were handed over to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing. The resident has opened a case of trespassing and theft.
