At approximately 13h30 today, members of our Special Operations Team assisted SAPS and Metro Police members with a pursuit of a Range Rover on the M4.
The Range Rover was stopped earlier by Police in central Durban. As they were about to search the vehicle the driver sped off and, in the process, ran over a Police Officer.
SAPS and Metro Police proceeded to pursue the vehicle on the M4 and onto Marion Avenue, Glenashley where the suspect lost control of the Range rover and crashed into a property.
The suspect was arrested by members of our Special Operations Team, Metro Police and SAPS who then took the suspect into custody for further processing and investigation.
