At approximately 00h03 this morning, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call for assistance from a client in Doreen Crescent, Glen Ashley, about an intruder on his property.
Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene with an accurate description of the suspect on hand.
Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled prior to our arrival. Fortunately, no signs of theft or damage were reported.
Our determined Armed Response Officer continued to search the area and after an extensive search the suspect matching the suspect’s was spotted walking on Armstrong Avenue. Our Officer acted swiftly and the suspect was immediately apprehended.
Upon searching the suspect a knife and cash was found in his possession.
The client positively identified the suspect as the intruder on his property as per CCTV camera footage.
SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody for further investigation and legal proceedings.
