At approximately 05h50 this morning a request for assistance was made on a community WhatsApp group in Eastview Road. Our Armed Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene.
The suspect had jumped over the fence into the property and entered the house through a door that had been left unlocked. The suspect stole a phone and an undisclosed amount of money.
One of our Armed Reaction Officers heard the description of the suspect on our radio and spotted him on the corner
of Northway and Umhlanga Rocks Drive. He approached the suspect and found him in possession of the phone and money. The suspect was arrested and handed over to Greenwood Park SAPS For further investigation and processing.
