In April, 147 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 9% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in March 2026. The top types of incidents throughout the month were Theft, Trespassing, and House Breaking and Theft.

A suspect linked to a recent copper theft returned to the scene, and was quickly spotted and apprehended by responding officers. Suspect handed over to SAPS.

Man Found Fatally Shot on Riverside Road, Durban North
Emergency services responded to reports of a man found on Riverside Road with a gunshot wound. Sadly, he was declared deceased on scene. The area was secured, and SAPS are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
