In January, 218 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 19% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in December. The top types of incidents throughout the month were house breaking, theft, and theft of copper.

High-Speed Chase Leads To Stolen Vehicle Recovery And Arrest
A routine patrol in Morningside took a dramatic turn as our Special Ops Team spotted and pursued two vehicles driving recklessly. The chase escalated with shots fired and a crash. Thanks to teamwork with Umbilo SAPS and support from Tracker SA, one suspect is now in custody.
Joint Operation Recovers Stolen Boat: Suspect Apprehended
Our joint operation led us straight to the suspect trying to sell boat that was stolen in Umdloti last year. After a fast-paced chase, we got our man, though the boat’s motors and signage were already gone. The vessel is now safely with Durban North SAPS for further investigations. Another win for teamwork!
