In January, 215 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is an 18% increase compared to the rate we recorded in December 2024. The top types of incidents throughout the month were house breaking, theft from/on site, trespassing, and theft of copper.

Marshall Security Recovers Multiple Hijacked Vehicles Across Durban
Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team recovered three hijacked vehicles in Durban within five days: a white Isuzu bakkie in KwaMashu, another on Sea Cow Lake Road, and a Suzuki Ertiga in Pinetown. Decomposed Body Discovered Hanging Near Umgeni River in Durban North
Marshall Security responded to a report of a deceased body found hanging from a tree near the Umgeni River in Durban North. The scene was secured, and Durban North SAPS and Metro Police Search and Rescue are investigating. Marshall Security extends condolences to the affected family and community.
Stolen Vehicle Spotted and Recovered in Ballito by Marshall Security
Marshall Security responded toa report of a stolen Toyota Yaris spotted on Ballito Drive. The vehicle and its driver were located, with Umhlali SAPS taking over the scene. The driver was detained for possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, highlighting Marshall Security’s commitment to community safety.
