Yesterday morning, at approximately 10h01, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a report of a Toyota Yaris that had been stolen in late December last year in the Verulam area. The vehicle was reported traveling on Ballito Drive in the Ballito area.
Acting immediately, Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, our officers spotted the vehicle and confirmed a single occupant inside. Other private security companies also arrived on scene afterwards. The scene was closely monitored and Umhlali SAPS arrived to take over the situation.
The driver of the vehicle, along with the stolen car, was transported to Umhlali SAPS where the driver of the vehicle was detained for being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
