In June, 138 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 21% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in May 2025. The top types of incidents throughout the month were house breaking, copper theft, and theft of motor vehicle.

VW Polo Theft Arrest After High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash
Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team intercepted two suspicious VW Polos on Inanda Road, leading to a high-speed chase and crash. Two suspects were arrested, and the white Polo was confirmed stolen. Car-breaking tools were recovered, and all evidence was handed over to Newlands SAPS, highlighting proactive efforts against vehicle crime.
Routine Patrol Leads to Arrest of Suspect With Unexplained Items
While on patrol in Sea Cow Lake, Marshall Security officers spotted a suspect behaving suspiciously and carrying items without a clear explanation. The individual was apprehended and handed over to Greenwood Park SAPS for investigation. This highlights the importance of visible patrols and proactive intervention in preventing crime.
Stolen Toyota Cross Recovered, Gateway
Marshall Security, with Durban North SAPS and Excellerate Security, intercepted a suspicious Toyota Cross in Umhlanga, confirmed as stolen in a Sydenham case. The suspect and vehicle were taken to Durban North SAPS, highlighting the power of intelligence-led collaboration and swift teamwork in effectively tackling vehicle crime across the region.
