On Friday this week, in the early hours of the morning, at around 04h45, one of our vigilant Armed Response Officers was conducting a routine patrol on Chris Hani Road. The Officer noticed two individuals carrying suspicious items, which they promptly dropped before fleeing. After a brief foot chase, one suspect was successfully apprehended.
Upon questioning, the suspect pointed out a business premises where he had broken into on Stanhope Place, Briardene, Umgeni Park area. The premises, a non-client of Marshall Security, was accessed by climbing a water pipe to reach the roof. The stolen items recovered at the scene included several large rolls of copper-core cables – often used at events – and a toolbox containing a cordless drill.

Greenwood Park SAPS arrived on the scene, and the suspect was handed over for further processing. This incident underscores the importance of heightened vigilance against business breakings. Marshall Security is dedicated to safeguarding the local business community and encourages all companies to ensure adequate security measures are in place.
