Yesterday evening, at approximately 18h47, Marshall Security’s Armed Response team successfully apprehended a suspect in possession of suspected stolen property on Gordon Road in Morningside. This operation underscores the critical role of community collaboration in combating crime.
Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre acted swiftly after receiving a tip-off from a vigilant member of the public regarding a suspect believed to be involved in theft.
The suspect was located near the end of Gordon Road. Upon conducting a search, Armed Response Officers found four silver Ford wheel caps. When questioned, the suspect failed to provide a reasonable explanation for having the items in his possession.
Berea SAPS were notified and arrived on the scene shortly thereafter. The suspect was transported to Berea SAPS, where he will face charges of possession of suspected stolen property.

At this stage, it is unclear where the wheel caps were stolen from. Anyone missing silver Ford wheel caps is urged to contact Berea SAPS at the earliest opportunity.
