Marshall Security continues to demonstrate proactive and vigilant patrols through two separate arrests carried out during the early hours of the morning in the Avoca and Park Hill areas.
This morning at approximately 00:26, Marshall Security Armed Response Officers en route to attend to a complaint of an attempted motor vehicle theft in Tasneem Crescent observed an unknown male carrying five white plastic garden chairs under suspicious circumstances.
The individual, who is currently on bail after being arrested by our team at the beginning of January this year, was stopped and questioned but was unable to provide a reasonable explanation for being in possession of the property and was immediately apprehended.
Greenwood Park SAPS attended the scene and transported the suspect, together with the items, to the police station for further investigation.

It is unknown at this stage where the items were stolen from, and the community is urged to please report the matter to Greenwood Park SAPS should they have fallen victim to any theft and be missing the above items.
Hours earlier, on Saturday morning at approximately 04:49, a Marshall Security Reaction Officer conducting patrols along Acutt Avenue was flagged down by a member of the public who is not a Marshall Security client.
The homeowner reported that an unknown male had trespassed on his property and had fled moments earlier. Acting immediately on the information provided, the officer initiated a search and apprehended a suspect matching the description following a brief foot chase on Acutt Avenue.
The complainant positively identified the suspect. Greenwood Park SAPS attended the scene and transported the suspect to the station for further processing.

During investigations, it was also established that the suspect apprehended on Acutt Avenue was linked to another incident on Clarendon Road earlier that morning, where the suspect attempted to steal cables but fled when he was disturbed. A formal case was registered at Greenwood Park SAPS.
Marshall Security’s visible presence, proactive patrols, and rapid response continue to play a critical role in deterring criminal activity and providing residents with peace of mind. Our commitment remains firm to actively protect both our clients and the wider community through constant vigilance and decisive action
