Yesterday afternoon at approximately 15h12 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received an alert via our Snipr ANPR system. It indicated that a Big Boy motorbike, reported stolen last month in the Vryheid area, was detected in the Durban North area.

The information regarding the stolen motorbike was circulated to all our Armed Response Officers to be on the lookout. A short while later the motorbike was spotted travelling on Village Way in the Sunningdale area.
Our team swiftly intervened, stopping the motorbike on Village Way and the driver was immediately apprehended.
Durban North SAPS were contacted and arrived on scene a short while later. Further investigations revealed that the driver of the motorbike was involved in the initial theft.
The suspect and the recovered stolen motorbike were transported to Durban North SAPS for further investigation and processing.
