At approximately 03h55 this morning the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted to a house breaking incident which had occurred at a well known complex on Compensation Beach Road in the Ballito area.
Reports from the scene indicated that unknown amount of suspects managed to steal the homeowners cellphone and vehicle keys through an open window.
The suspects then managed to locate the homeowners vehicle and drove off with it. Details of the stolen vehicle was then circulated to all our Armed Response Officers and members of our Special Operations Team to be on the look out.
Approximately thirty minutes later whilst our Armed Response Officer was patrolling on David Place in the Ballito area the stolen vehicle was spotted and found abandoned with the keys still in the ignition with no suspects in sight.
The homeowner was informed accordingly who then collected his vehicle and then proceeded to open a case with Umhlali SAPS.
