Rapid GWA Tactical Action Ensures Recovery of Wanted VW Polo

On Sunday afternoon just after 12h30, a VW Polo reported stolen in July last year in the Verulam area was spotted travelling along Henry Pennington Road in Westmead.

Marshall Security GWA Tactical Officers immediately followed the vehicle and, with assistance from the Durban Flying Squad, successfully brought it to a halt on the N3 near the Marianhill Toll Plaza.

During further investigation, it was established that the stolen VW Polo recovered in Westmead was linked to a fraud case, where the registered owner had allegedly re-registered the vehicle after failing to pay the required instalments.

The driver’s details were supplied to South African Police Service (Verulam Detectives), and the stolen VW Polo recovered in Westmead was transported to Verulam SAPS for further investigation and processing.

This interception highlights the effectiveness of proactive patrols, tactical coordination, and inter-agency cooperation, ensuring that wanted vehicles are identified and removed from circulation before further offences can occur.

This recovery was made possible through the faithful support of our contributing members, whose ongoing commitment allows for visible patrols, rapid response, and coordinated action across the precinct.
