INCIDENT: HOUSE ROBBERY

Shortly before 17:00 on Thursday, Marshall Security responded to reports of house robberies in the suburbs of Prestondale and Umhlanga
The first incident reportedly occurred at a home in Preston Drive, Prestondale. Reports from the scene indicate that a domestic worker was held up by six armed suspects, before being confined to a room whilst the men ransacked the home before fleeing.
The second incident took place in Canterbury Crescent, Umhlanga. With reports suggesting that six armed men forced entry into the home whilst the homeowners were present, holding them up at gunpoint, before confining them to the living area and ransacking the home. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery before fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle.
Although considerably shaken up in the ordeal, the victims in both incidents, fortunately, did not sustain any physical injury.
Both scenes were secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
