A vehicle stolen from outside a Ballito restaurant was successfully recovered within 40 minutes of being taken last Friday night.
At approximately 20h30 a Ballito UIP officer alerted the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre that a white Toyota Hilux had been stolen from a local restaurant. Upon returning to their vehicle after their meal, the owners of the vehicle noticed that it had been stolen.
An eye-witness car guard had spotted a suspicious vehicle following the Hilux out of the parking lot. The stolen vehicle’s tracking unit was immediately activated, and members from our Special Operations Team, the SAPS and Matrix Vehicle Tracking were promptly deployed.
Following a short search, the vehicle was found abandoned in KwaMashu and successfully recovered.
A job well done to all members involved.
