Yesterday at approximately 09:30, our Special Operations Team received an activation request from Matrix Tracking to locate a white Toyota Corolla, hijacked earlier this month in the Ntuzuma area.
Our team, in collaboration with the Matrix ground team, Metro Police, and the SAPS Durban PES Task Team, swiftly moved to the Kwamashu area to track down the vehicle. During the search, the vehicle matching the description was spotted travelling on Malandela Road.
The teams successfully intercepted the vehicle and conducted interviews with the two occupants. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that the vehicle had been fitted with false plates and was indeed the vehicle hijacked earlier in the month.
Both the recovered hijacked vehicle and the suspects were transported to KwaMashu SAPS for further investigation and processing. This coordinated effort highlights the effective partnership between Marshall Security, law enforcement, and private security sectors in addressing vehicle hijacking incidents.
