This morning, at approximately 11h10, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received information regarding a blue Renault Kwid that had been reported stolen in the Isipingo area in December 2025 and was believed to be in the Umdloti area.
The vehicle’s details were immediately circulated to Marshall Security Armed Response Officers, who began conducting proactive patrols in an effort to locate it.
A short while later, while patrolling along North Beach Road, Armed Response Officers located the wanted vehicle parked in a public parking area.
Members approached the vehicle and successfully apprehended the driver without incident.
Durban North SAPS arrived on scene shortly thereafter, and the suspect was taken into custody and transported to Durban North SAPS for further investigation and processing. The recovered vehicle was also handed over to SAPS for the necessary legal processes.
This recovery once again highlights the importance of rapid information sharing, proactive patrols, and the close working relationship between Marshall Security and SAPS in locating stolen vehicles and apprehending suspects.
