Suspects Arrested After Attempted Break-In and Theft on Blackburn Road

Yesterday morning at approximately 11h15, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a client who owns a business on Blackburn Road in the Park Hill area. The client reported that their site caretaker had spotted two suspects attempting to kick open one of the entrance doors. However, the suspects were unsuccessful in their attempt and immediately fled the scene after the caretaker shouted at them.

Multiple Armed Response Officers were dispatched to the scene without delay. While en route, officers spotted the two suspects walking on Blackburn Road and swiftly apprehended them.

Greenwood Park SAPS were contacted and arrived at the scene shortly after. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the same two suspects had stolen aluminum gutters from the client’s property the previous morning, as confirmed by CCTV footage.

Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.

This successful arrest underscores Marshall Security’s dedication to swift response and community safety, ensuring that criminals are promptly apprehended. We commend our Armed Response Officers for their vigilance and quick action in preventing further crime in the Park Hill area.
