At 05h46 this morning, during routine patrol on Henry Pennington Road, our GWA Tactical Team observed an individual carrying a large steel pole. Suspecting unusual activity, our Tactical Team, promptly intervened to inquire about the origin of the pole.
The individual was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation, which led to further suspicion. The appearance of the pole suggested it might have been forcibly removed from somewhere. SAPS was immediately called to the scene for assistance.
Upon SAPS’s arrival, the individual was escorted back to the location he claimed to have obtained the pole. The complainant, located on Hocking Place, in Sector 2 Westmead area confirmed that the steel pole was indeed stolen from their property.
They expressed interest to press charges against the individual. The suspect was then taken into custody and handed over to the SAPS for further legal action.
