This afternoon at approximately 12h33, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received an urgent alert about a stolen vehicle on Chris Hani Road in the Briardene area. The vehicle had been taken from outside a local panel shop, where it had been dropped off for repairs.
According to the panel shop’s report, unknown suspects stole the vehicle while it was parked outside the premises. The vehicle belonged to a customer who had brought it in for service and was expected to retrieve it later that day.
Acting swiftly on the information received, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team, in collaboration with Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit and the SAPS Vehicle and Trio Crimes Unit, launched a coordinated effort to locate the stolen car. Their rapid response paid off when the vehicle was successfully recovered, abandoned in Newlands West.
The stolen vehicle was transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.
This successful recovery highlights the strength of Marshall Security’s partnership with SAPS and the importance of fast action in preventing further losses from crime. We commend our Special Operations Team for their swift response and the collaborative efforts of SAPS, ensuring the vehicle was safely returned for further processing.
