The Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted to a distressing incident earlier this afternoon, when a member of the public discovered a deceased body during their walk in Bridgedale Park, located in the Durban North area.
In response to the distress call, our dedicated Special Operations Team were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they swiftly secured the area and cordoned off the crime scene to ensure a thorough investigation could take place.
The unknown male has been declared deceased by paramedics on scene.
The Durban North South African Police Service (SAPS) were informed, and arrived shortly thereafter to initiate their official procedures.
The cause of death remains unknown at this time, though initial indications point towards the possibility of suicide.
