Suspect Arrested After CCTV Tripwire Detects Suspicious Activity

Early this morning, at approximately 02h43, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a tripwire activation from one of the CCTV cameras monitoring the Durban North area. The footage revealed a male walking with two plastic containers balanced on his head.

Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers located and stopped the individual on Windsor Drive. Inside the plastic containers were several items the suspect could not account for, and was therefore promptly apprehended.

Durban North SAPS arrived shortly thereafter and took the suspect into custody for further investigations.

Unfortunately, it could not be established as to where the items were stolen from. We encourage members of the public that should you have fallen victim to any house breaking or theft incidents in the area to report the matter to the SAPS.

This arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of smart surveillance technology and strong collaboration with local law enforcement. Marshall Security remains committed to protecting communities through proactive intervention and cutting-edge technology.
