Last week our teams were able to recover two vehicles, one that had been hijacked in Avoca Hills and another that had been stolen from a client’s property in Durban North.
On Wednesday at approximately 11h50 members of our Special Operations Team were activated to assist Tracker SA with locating a hijacked Suzuki that had been taken in the Avoca Hills area by an unknown amount of armed suspects.
After an extensive track, the vehicle was finally found abandoned where it was recovered at approximately 12h30 on Msilanga Road in Kwamashu J – Section by members of our Special Ops Team, Tracker SA and the SAPS Vehicle and Trio Task Team.
The vehicle was transported back to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.
On Friday at approximately 05h00 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a resident on Kenneth Kaunda Drive in the Durban North area who woke up and noticed that their house had been broken into and that various undisclosed items of value were stolen as well as the client’s vehicle, a VW Caddy.
It was later established that the vehicle that was taken during the housebreaking was fitted with Bidtrack Tracking. Members of our Special Ops Team were immediately activated to assist with locating the stolen vehicle. Our team members immediately responded and within approximately 14 minutes of being activated, the vehicle was found abandoned and recovered on Wills Road in the Durban central area by our Special Ops Team assisted by the Bidtrack ground team.
Unfortunately, the items that had been taken during the housebreaking were nowhere to be found. The stolen vehicle was transported back to Durban North SAPS for further investigation and processing.
