Yesterday morning our vigilant team members found a suspect trying to avoid arrest by hiding in the roof of a business premises and was immediately arrested.
At approximately 02h40 our Emergency Dispatch Centre received multiple alarm activations from a business premises on North Coast Road in the Briardene area.
Multiple Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene within minutes.
Upon searching the property one suspect was noticed hiding in the roof of the property. The suspect was immediately arrested. Upon searching the suspect, stolen copper pipes and breaking implements were found in his possession.
The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.
