This morning at approximately 09h50 members of our Special Operations Team were activated to assist Tracker SA with a hijacked VW Taigo which had been hijacked by unknown amount of armed suspects in the Duffs Road area.
Our members immediately responded to the last known location of the hijacked vehicle and within ten minutes of being activated the vehicle was recovered and found abandoned in Kwamashu C section by members of our Special Operations Team, Kwamashu SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, Tracker SA ground and other private security.
Valuable items that were inside the vehicle were stolen and unfortunately were not recovered after an extensive search.
The vehicle was then handed over to the homeowner as they refused to open a case of hijacking with the SAPS.
