This morning, at approximately 06h00, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted via a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group about a tragic discovery on Montpelier Road in the Morningside area.
Reports indicated that what appeared to be an aborted fetus, estimated to be approximately 26 weeks old, had been left on the sidewalk.
Marshall Security’s Armed Response Officers, along with our Community Support Team, were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed the heartbreaking discovery of an aborted human fetus. Medical personnel were present at the scene to provide official confirmation.
The area was secured by Berea SAPS, who will lead further investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
