DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER HEAD ON COLLISION – BROADWAY

A Marshall Security armed reaction officer was the victim of a head on collision earlier this evening.
The incident took place at the intersection of Northway and Broadway, after a driver of a BMW disregarded a traffic light smashing into our vehicle head on.
Crisis Medical paramedics responded to the scene and found the reaction officer had sustained serious injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was taken by ambulance to Busamed Gateway Private Hospital for further care.
The driver of the BMW was remanded into the custody of the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
This is the second incident in the course of a week where one of our team have been a victim of a motor vehicle collision. In the precious incident the driver of a Hyundai iX35 careened across Newport Avenue in Glenashley colliding head on with one of our vehicles. The member remains in a serious condition in hospital.
