Yesterday at approximately 07h30, Marshall Security Special Operations members patrolling Danville Road noticed a male behaving suspiciously, raising concerns of potential theft. The suspect was observed walking quickly on Virginia Circle, carrying a white Epson projector and a black toolbox.
Officers approached the individual to inquire about the items. When questioned, the suspect claimed he had found the equipment in bins along the roadside. However, the projector and toolbox appeared functional, and he could not provide a clear explanation of ownership. Due to these inconsistencies, Marshall Security officers contacted Durban North SAPS for further assistance.
Shortly thereafter, our team received confirmation that the items had been reported stolen from a property on Danville Avenue. Durban North SAPS officers arrived on the scene to conduct further investigation. It was also established that the suspect had taken multiple items from the same property over the past few weeks. The suspect and the recovered items were taken to Durban SAPS for processing and further investigation.
