INCIDENT: HOUSE ROBBERY

Just after 04:00 on Tuesday morning Marshall Security received a panic alert from a premises in Round The Green Sunningdale, after the homeowner reported a house robbery in progress. Armed response officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival on scene, it was ascertained that two suspects forced entry into the home, holding up and assaulting the elderly homeowners.
The husband and wife aged in their seventies were assaulted and confined to a bedroom whilst the suspects ransacked their home, making off with two flat screen televisions a cellphone and a laptop computer.
A search of the surrounding area was conducted, however, the suspects remain at large.
The elderly victims were assessed on scene by Crisis Medical paramedics and declined further hospital treatment. Thank you to Busamed Gateway Private Hospital for being on standby should there have been a need for further hospital treatment.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
