Marshall Security is pleased to announce the successful conviction and sentencing of Sifiso Lesibane, who has been sentenced to eight years’ direct imprisonment for his involvement in a vehicle hijacking.

The conviction follows an incident on Friday, 3 October 2025, when Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team was activated by Netstar Tracking to assist in locating a Toyota Hilux that had been hijacked by armed suspects in the Newlands area, ultimately leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the accused.
A short pursuit followed before the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into nearby bushes. Members immediately moved in and apprehended the suspect. Further investigation confirmed that the vehicle, which had already been fitted with false registration plates, was the Toyota Hilux hijacked earlier that day.
This sentence is a testament to the dedication of all role players involved, from the initial response and investigation through to the successful conclusion of the court proceedings.
Marshall Security would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Warrant Officer Moses from Newlands East SAPS for his commitment to the investigation, as well as the Durban Prosecution Team for their professionalism and dedication in ensuring justice was served.
While arrests are an important step in fighting crime, successful convictions send an even stronger message that violent criminals will be held accountable for their actions.
Marshall Security remains committed to working alongside the South African Police Service and other law enforcement agencies to remove dangerous offenders from our communities and improve the safety of the areas we serve.
