Marshall Arrests Two Suspects And Recovers Holidaymakers’ Stolen Items

This morning our teams managed to arrest two suspects shortly after they had stolen several items of value from holidaymakers staying in Umdloti.

At approximately 05h30 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a holidaymaker on Newsel Road in the Umdloti area, which we are service providers for and the property is a contributing member of Umdloti Smart Village. The holidaymaker discovered that the accommodation they have been staying at had been broken into where multiple items such a cellphones, laptops, watches and other household items had been stolen.

Multiple Armed Response Officers and Special Operations Team members were dispatched and arrived on scene within minutes.

Upon further investigation, information lead our team members to the Verulam area on the possible whereabouts of the wanted suspects. After a successful operation, two suspects were apprehended with most of the stolen items that had been taken in the housebreaking found in their possession, where it was successfully recovered.

The suspects together with the stolen items were handed over to the Durban North SAPS for further investigation and processing.

The suspects could possibly be linked to the previous housebreaking cases in Umdloti including a housebreaking that had also occurred on Newsel Road on Tuesday morning, this will be investigated further by the SAPS.

Well done to our teams on another successful arrest.
