At approximately 21h54, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a message on a WhatsApp Crime Alert group from a Marshall Security client reporting suspicious sounds from a neighboring property under construction, which currently had no alarm system.
Multiple Armed Response Officers responded to the call. Upon arrival, two suspects were spotted on the property. In a coordinated effort one suspect was apprehended hiding outside in the yard with electrical cables and conductors in his possession.
Upon further inspection, a second suspect was found hiding in the ceiling by our officer with stolen items.
The house, under construction, had missing doors and windows. Both suspects were transported to Durban North SAPS and will be charged with theft and trespassing.
