INCIDENT: HOUSE BREAKING / SUSPECT ARRESTED

At approximately 15:00, Marshall Security was alerted to a housebreaking in progress at a residential premises in Belgrave Crescent in Durban North.
Armed Reaction officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival found a male suspect had been apprehended by a member of the public after being spotted attempting to flee the property with garden tools and camping equipment.
The suspect was arrested on site and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
The proactive and alert member of the public can be commended for his efforts.
