Last night, at approximately 20h35, while on routine patrol, Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were flagged down by an Armed Response Officer from another private security company that an ehailing driver had just been robbed on Columbia Road in the Kenville area.
Officers immediately proceeded to the location of the driver, who provided a detailed description of the suspects involved in the robbery. Using this information, officers began searching the area. Just a few minutes later, they spotted three male suspects matching the description on Rosary Road.
As officers approached, the suspects fled in different directions. One suspect jumped into the premises of a complex on Rosary Road. While officers were searching the complex, one suspect was apprehended. The remaining suspects, unfortunately, managed to evade arrest after an extensive search.

The driver positively identified the apprehended individual as one of the three who had robbed him at knifepoint, stealing his cellphone, car keys, and cash.
An eyewitness reported seeing the suspects flee and discard a car key, which was later recovered by our officers and returned to the driver.
Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted and arrived on scene shortly after. The suspect, a 16-year-old minor, was transported to the station, and a case of robbery has been opened.
