A vehicle wanted by the South African Police Services in connection with multiple robbery from persons cases, was spotted by one of our Armed Reaction officers at approximately 23h30 on Saturday in Umhlanga.
The Officer spotted the vehicle on McClausland Crescent and whilst monitoring the vehicle he heard someone screaming, upon further investigation he interviewed a member of the public who advised their cell phone had just been stolen.
Our Officer approached the suspects in the wanted vehicle and found the victims cell phone in their possession.
Durban North SAPS were called to the scene and the suspects were handed over to them for further investigation. The victim declined to open a case but the suspects were linked to two other cases of theft in other areas.
