Triple Stolen Vehicle Recovery in KwaMashu and Umlazi by Marshall Security and Netstar

On Friday, 18 July 2025, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team once again demonstrated that when it comes to stolen vehicle recovery in KwaMashu and Umlazi, swift response and coordinated teamwork deliver powerful results.

The first activation came in at 11:57, when Netstar reported the theft of a white Kia K2700 bakkie in the Pinetown area. The vehicle was last tracked entering KwaMashu. Marshall’s SOT immediately responded and, with the assistance of Netstar’s ground team and SAPS, successfully recovered the vehicle in P-Section, KwaMashu. It was returned to the rightful owner, who declined to open a formal case.

At 14:33, a second call was received — also from Netstar — concerning a white Toyota Dyna truck stolen from outside a client’s premises on Beechfield Crescent in the Umgeni Business Park area. Within minutes of activation, and through joint efforts involving private security partners, Netstar’s ground team, and the Durban North SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, the vehicle was located abandoned in M-Section, KwaMashu. The owner was contacted and opted not to open a case.

Later that evening, at approximately 21:14, members of Marshall’s Special Operations Team received intelligence regarding another stolen vehicle, this time located in the Umlazi area. The team immediately deployed and, together with Netstar and Umlazi SAPS, recovered the vehicle abandoned in V-Section, Umlazi. It was later confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the Chatsworth area. The vehicle was returned to its owner, who again declined to register a case.

This series of recoveries in a single day showcases Marshall Security’s commitment to going the extra mile for our clients.
