INCIDENT: THEFT / SUSPECT ARRESTED

At approximately 16:00 on Friday, Marshall Security were alerted to a suspect on site at a premises in Troon Place, Durban North.
Armed Reaction officers responded to the property and further investigation revealed a male suspect had entered the property and stolen plastic chairs.
A search of the surrounding area was conducted and the man was spotted walking on the M4 Ruth First Highway towards Durban. In an attempt to evade arrest the thief abandoned the property and a foot chase ensued resulting in his arrest.
The property was confirmed to be that taken from the Durban North residence.
The suspect was arrested and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
