INCIDENT: RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE / SUSPECT ARRESTED

A male suspect has been arrested after stealing a delivery vehicle in Palmfield Road in Springfield Park this afternoon.
The vehicle in question, a white Mitsubishi was fitted with a satellite tracking device monitored by Tracker SA.
A tracking signal was picked up in the Inanda area and the Marshall Security Special Operations Team were activated to assist.
After an extensive tracking effort, the vehicle was spotted travelling on a dirt road in the Amatikwe area near Inanda where it was brought to a stop.
The driver and passenger alighted from the vehicle and a foot chase ensued resulting in the arrest of the driver, a thirty seven year old male suspect. His accomplice managed to evade arrest.
The susepct was apprehended by Marshall Security and remanded into the custody of the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
