Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 15h00, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic activation from a client’s property on Tyger Avenue in the Kenville area. Upon contacting the client, it was reported that a suspect was on-site cutting and stealing copper pipes.
Multiple Armed Response Officers and members of our Special Operations Team were immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival, it was established that the suspect had climbed over the rear barbed-wire fence to gain entry to the property. Approximately 15 metres of copper piping had been ripped from the walls and stolen.
A coordinated and extensive search operation was launched by responding members, who patrolled the surrounding area, including dense vegetation along Kew Road, Rosary Road, and Queen Nandi Drive. A short while later, the suspect was spotted walking along Rosary Road. He fled into nearby bush, but that did not deter our teams, who chased him down, apprehended him, and recovered the stolen copper piping.

The client was immediately notified of the arrest and recovery and confirmed that they would be pursuing charges.
Greenwood Park SAPS were informed and arrived promptly on scene. The suspect was handed over into police custody for further investigation and processing.
This incident once again highlights Marshall Security’s dedication to proactive intervention, coordinated searching, and the rapid recovery of stolen property — ensuring criminals are located, apprehended, and held accountable.
Because at Marshall Security, we don’t just attend a call, we finish the job. 😉
