At approximately 17.30, Marshall Security responded to a call from a client in Ypsilanti Avenue in the suburb of Glen Ashley, north of Durban, who stated they had spotted a male suspect jumping over walls into properties in the area.
Armed Reaction Officers descended on the area and the suspect was seen attempting to flee into nearby dense bushes. A foot chase ensued, resulting in the man being arrested.
The suspect was found to be in possession of various items of clothing identified by residents in the area as having been stolen from their properties.
The man was arrested on site and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
