In February, 213 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 2% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in January. The top types of incidents throughout the month were house breaking, theft, and theft of copper.

Throughout the month of February we arrested 19 suspects and recovered 5 stolen or hijacked vehicles. 💪

Midday shock turned hopeful as our team, with Greenwood Park SAPS, located a VW Touareg stolen from a Kenneth Kaunda Road house breaking. While we continue the search for other items, we’re relieved to secure the vehicle.

Heartbreaking Incident In Morningside Apartment: Elderly Man Found Murdered

In a heartrending incident, an elderly man was found murdered in his Morningside apartment. The suspect, known to the family and battling drug addiction, was arrested in the evening.
