In September, 155 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 12% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in August 2025. The top types of incidents throughout the month were theft, trespassing and copper theft.

Stolen Toyota Hilux Recovered in Umlazi After Shaka’s Rock Break-In
A client’s white Toyota Hilux was stolen from Dolphin Crescent, Shaka’s Rock. Thanks to Marshall Security’s rapid response, our SOT team, and Matrix Vehicle Tracking, the vehicle was quickly located abandoned in Umlazi D Section and handed over to SAPS. [Watch] Vehicle Theft Suspects Apprehended After High-Speed Chase in Durban
Three suspects in a silver Toyota Corolla were apprehended after a reckless vehicle theft chase through Morningside and Greyville. Marshall Security’s SOT, backed by law enforcement, recovered car-breaking tools, vehicle computer boxes, a signal jammer, and a police radio scanner. The suspects, who were out on bail for similar offenses, are now in custody at SAPS.
High-Speed Chase Ends With Vehicle Theft Suspect in Custody
Marshall Security’s SOT responded to shots fired in Windermere after five suspects tried to steal a vehicle. Only the battery was taken before the suspects fled. Our team recovered the battery, car-breaking tools, housebreaking implements, and vehicle computer boxes. After a high-speed pursuit in KwaMashu, one suspect was apprehended while the others fled.
